SEC Tournament Predictions: Missouri Tigers vs. Ole Miss Rebels 3/9/17

Missouri vs. Ole Miss Pick

Can Ole Miss avoid being upset when the Rebels face Missouri tonight at 9PM ET in the SEC Tournament?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Ole Miss is favored in this game, as the Rebels are getting odds of -6.5 points against Missouri. The over/under total for the game is listed at 144 points. These two met twice this season, with Ole Miss getting the win in both games but Missouri covered in one game and pushed in the other. Today’s game will be held from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ole Miss is the six seed in the SEC Tournament after going 19-12 overall and 10-8 in the conference. The Rebels are 17-13-1 against the spread this season as well. They average 69 points per game on offense while allowing 76.2 on defense. Deandre Burnett averages 16.5 points per game to lead the team but is questionable with a knee injury. Sebastian Saiz adds 15.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per contest.

Missouri is coming off an 86-83 OT win over Auburn last night to improve to 8-23 on the season. The Tigers have now covered in seven of their last 10 games to move to 13-13-2 against the spread on the season. Missouri is averaging 69 points per game on offense while the defense is allowing 72.5 points per contest. Jordan Barnett is leading the offense with 12.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while Kevin Puryear is adding 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.

Bet on the SEC Tournament

Ole Miss has been playing well, but the Rebels are going to possibly be without one of their top players in Burnett. Missouri hasn’t been a very good team but coming off a nice win. However, playing into OT won’t help the Tigers’ legs in today’s game. Ole Miss isn’t giving up a ton of points, so I look for Ole Miss to find a way to cover, with or without Burnett.
