According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Texas Tech is the slim favorite on the road, as the Red Raiders are getting odds of -1 point against Oklahoma. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 130.5 points. The public betting currently has 59 percent going on Texas Tech on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our College Basketball Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Texas Tech looking to stay in the mix

Texas Tech has won three of its last four games to get back to being a winning team in the Big 12 race. The Red Raiders are coming off an 81-50 win over West Virginia this week. Texas Tech is 18-5 on the season, 6-4 in the Big 12, 2-3 on the road, 8-14-1 against the spread and 14-8 with the under.

Tech is one of the best defensive teams in the nation. The Red Raiders are giving up just 57.4 points per game while holding opponents to a top-ranked 36.2 percent shooting. Offensively, Texas Tech is putting up 70.8 points per game while shooting 46.8 percent. Jarrett Culver is leading the team with 17.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while Matt Mooney and Davide Moretti each average 10.6 points per contest.

Oklahoma on a skid

The Sooners are coming off a 75-74 loss at home to Iowa State this week for a third straight defeat. Oklahoma is 15-8 on the season, 3-7 in the Big 12, 8-3 at home, 16-5-2 against the spread and 14-9 with the under.

Oklahoma is putting up 72.7 points per game on offense while shooting 44.4 percent. Defensively, the Sooners are giving up 68.0 points per game while holding opponents to 39.8 percent shooting. Christian James is leading the team with 15.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while Brady Manek is adding 11.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven road games and just 7-18-2 ATS in their last 12 conference games.

Florida State

Oklahoma is 11-4 against the spread in its last 15 home games and 5-2 ATS in its last seven games following a loss.

Prediction:

The home team has really dominated this series, going 8-0-1 against the spread in the last nine encounters. Texas Tech has also failed to cover in four straight trips to Norman. Tech was able to pick up a 7-point win over Oklahoma at home back on Jan. 8, but the Red Raiders are averaging 10 points less per game on the road and giving up nine points more. Their defense is their strength and that doesn’t hold up as well away from Lubbock. I think their inconsistent offense will hurt them today.

College Basketball Prediction: Oklahoma +1
