Bet on Michigan State vs. Kentucky
Michigan State opened the season with a 65-63 loss to Arizona in Hawaii on Friday. The Spartans are working in a very young team this year and don’t have a lot of size. In Friday’s loss they had just nine free-throw attempts and were 25-of-58 shooting. Arizona, on the other hand, had 27 free-throw attempts. Freshman Miles Bridges was the bright spot for the team as he had 21 points and seven rebounds.
Kentucky has already played a pair of games, beating Stephen F. Austin 87-64 and Canisius 93-69. They are 1-1 against the spread in the two games. The Wildcats are young, as usual, but they have plenty of size to work with. Isaiah Briscoe is averaging 19 points and 3 rebounds per game to lead the team while De’Aaron Fox is putting up 16.5 points and 7.5 assists per game. Briscoe is a sophomore while Fox is a freshman.

Michigan State has the potential to be good, but they are young and small. The Spartans likely won’t hit their stride until late in the season. While Kentucky is young, they have size that should pose plenty of problems for the Spartans. Look for that to be the big factor in allowing Kentucky to win and cover.
