Oddsmakers currently list Northwestern’s Dan Persa (-175) as the favorite, while Michigan State’s Kirk Cousins has +175 odds and Michigan’s Denard Robinson is the long shot at +350. Persa (EVEN) is also the favorite to finish with the most passing touchdowns between these three players, while Cousins is +150 and Robinson is +200.
Persa was second behind Indiana’s Ben Chappell last season in passing average per game, finishing with 258.1 yards per contest and 2,591 yards. Cousins was fifth in passing average per game (217.3) and Robinson was seventh (197.2).
Which player will have the most rushing yards per game this season in the Big Ten? Robinson has odds of 9/4 while Michigan State’s Edwin Baker is 2/1 and Wisconsin’s James White is 4/1. Iowa’s Marcus Coker is 27/4, Nebraska’s Rex Burkhead is 11/2 and Penn State’s Silas Redd is 7/1.
