CFB Week 1 Injuries & Suspensions
(The Spread) – Most teams are healthy and ready to kickoff the 2011 College Football Season, but there are still some key injuries and suspensions to consider when placing your wagers.
View Current College Football Odds
While No. 16 Ohio State isn’t littered with injuries, the Buckeyes will have 10 players missing Saturday’s game with Akron due to suspensions from various incidents during the offseason. The most notable omissions will be running back Dan Herron and receiver DeVier Posey, who were key members to the Buckeye offense. For Akron, cornerback Bill Alexander is doubtful for Saturday’s noon kickoff because of a collarbone injury.
Despite the suspensions, oddsmakers still have Ohio State as a 32-point favorite at home against the Zips. The over/under point total has been set at 46 points.
