CFB Week 1 Public Betting Report
(The Spread) – The start of the 2011 College Football Season also marks a big push in sports gambling. Here is a look at the public thinks of the opening weekend of college football games.

There are a couple of premiere games this week with No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 LSU meeting at Cowboys Stadium at 8PM ET on Saturday. The public is backing the Ducks, as 52% of the Public Bets have been placed on Oregon with a spread of -3.5 against LSU. The Tigers will be without some key players in the game, but the public is still nearly split on the game.
Another game that has some close wagers is No. 16 Notre Dame playing host to South Florida. The Fighting Irish are at home and are 11.5-point favorites according to oddsmakers. 53% of the wagers have been placed on the Fighting Irish, which is close to 50-50.
