The Trojans had 371 yards of offense, including 304 passing yards in the win. Matt Barkley threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. The defense gave up 302 yards of offense to Minnesota.
Utah defeated Montana State 27-10 in its season opener. The Utes jumped out to a 24-0 lead early in the game, but struggled from there. The Utes had just 292 yards of offense in the game, including just 101 passing yards. John White IV led Utah in the win, as he rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Montana State was held to 258 yards of offense in the game, including just 75 rushing yards.
In terms of Injuries, USC running back Marc Tyler will return from his suspension this week but center Abe Markowitz is questionable with a foot injury. Utah running back Tauni Vakapuna is questionable with an ankle injury.
