2015 ABC College Football Week 3 Odds: Northern Illinois vs. Ohio State

No. 1 Ohio State hopes to have another smooth game at home this Saturday when it hosts MAC Champion, Northern Illinois at 3:30PM ET on ABC.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Ohio State is the clear favorite to win this game, as the Buckeyes are getting odds of -34.5 points against the Huskies. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 66.5 points. These two last met in 2006 when Ohio State got a 35-12 win at home, covering a modest 17.5-point spread.

Ohio State is 2-0 on the season, 1-1 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Buckeyes started the year with a 42-24 win over Virginia Tech on the road and then they defeated Hawaii 38-0 at home last week. Ohio State is averaging 467.5 yards per game thus far on the season, including 270.5 rushing yards per game. Defensively, the Buckeyes are holding opponents to just 242.5 yards per game. Ezekiel Elliott has rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns to lead the offense while Braxton Miller has rushed for 118 yards with one score while catching five passes for 95 yards and another score. Cardale Jones has thrown for 298 yards with two scores while rushing for 104 yards and another touchdown.

Northern Illinois is also 2-0 on the season while going 1-1 against the spread and 2-0 with the over. NIU started the season with a 38-30 win over UNLV at home and the Huskies then beat Murray State 57-26. NIU has been unstoppable on offense thus far, averaging 594 yards per game. However, the Huskies are giving up 433 yards per contest as well. NIU has been led by Drew Hare, who has thrown for 718 yards with six touchdowns. Receiver Kenny Golladay has caught 17 passes for 357 yards with two scores while Joel Bouagnon has rushed for 204 yards and five touchdowns.
