According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Crimson Tide is a 6.5-point home favorite versus the Rebels while the over/under total is currently sitting at 53.5 points.
According to CFB Film Room, Alabama quarterback Jacob Coker has only completed 6-of-16 passes thrown 10-plus yards downfield this season and this game tonight could turn into a shootout after Ole Miss hung 70 points on Fresno State last weekend. The Crimson Tide has also struggled with a number of drops in its receiving corps, which will sorely miss Amari Cooper this season.
The Rebels are also one of four FBS teams to not go three-and-out on a series this season according to ESPN College Football Insider Brett McMurphy. Beating Fresno State last week was expected, but scoring 70 points against any FBS school is impressive and Ole Miss looks great behind Chad Kelly.
Mississippi is 4-1 against the spread in its last five trips to Tuscaloosa and 7-3 in its last 10 games overall versus ‘Bama, which includes last year’s victory. Despite the Tide being in a revenge spot, 6.5 is too many points.
