According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Notre Dame is the favorite at home in this contest, as the Fighting Irish are getting odds of -10 points against the Longhorns. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 50.5 points. Texas and Notre Dame will meet this Saturday at 7:30PM ET on NBC.

Notre Dame has been dealing with some injuries prior to the start of the season. The biggest of which came to defensive lineman Jarron Jones, who is out for the year with a knee injury. Jones had 40 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in 2014. Another season-ending injury came to defensive back Shaun Crawford, who suffered a torn ACL. Running back Greg Bryant and defensive lineman Ishaq Williams will miss the season due to eligibility issues.

Texas has only a few names on the injury report. Linebacker Dalton Santos is expected to miss the game with an undisclosed injury while tight end Blake Whiteley is out with a knee injury. Santos had 12 tackles in the 2014 season while Whiteley redshirted last season.
