BYU vs. UCLA Odds
A pair of top-20 teams meet late night on Saturday when No. 10 UCLA hosts No. 19 BYU at 10:30PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, UCLA is the favorite at home in this game, as the Bruins are getting odds of -16.5 points against the Cougars. The over/under total for the game has been set at 60 points. BYU has won the last two meetings with UCLA, but the Bruins are 5-1 against the spread in the last six in this series.
UCLA is 2-0 on the season, 1-0-1 against the spread and 2-0 with the under. UCLA started the year with a 34-16 win at home over Virginia and then the Bruins went to UNLV and picked up a 37-3 victory. The Bruins are averaging an impressive 514.5 yards per game thus far while holding opponents to 286.5 yards per contest. The Bruins have been starting true freshman Josh Rosen at QB and he has thrown for 574 yards with four touchdowns thus far while completing 64.9 percent of his passes. Paul Perkins has also been a force on the ground, as he has rushed for 210 yards and two scores, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
BYU is 2-0 on the season, 2-0 against the spread and 2-0 with the over. The Cougars opened the season with a 33-28 win at Nebraska two weeks ago and then followed it up with a 35-24 win over Boise State at home. The Cougars are posting 446 yards per game thus far on the year, but the defense is giving up 403 yards per contest to opponents. BYU lost starting quarterback Taysom Hill in the first game to an injury, but Tanner Mangum has played pretty well in his place. He has 420 passing yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Mitchell Jurgens has caught eight passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns while Adam Hine has 130 rushing yards and a score.
