Alabama still favored to win CFB Title

Oddsmakers still favor Alabama to win the 2017 College Football National Championship, but which other teams are in the mix?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Crimson Tide are 9/2 favorites to win the national championship next year after falling short last season. Since the 2009 season, Nick Saban’s program has been in the national title game a remarkable five times, winning the championship in four of those years.

Ohio State, meanwhile, figures to give Alabama its biggest challenge to win it all this season. Urban Meyer’s team is 5/1 to win the 2017 College Football National Championship, which gives the Buckeyes the next-best odds behind the Crimson Tide. Ohio State lost in the semi-finals last year to Clemson, which beat Alabama in the national title game.

Florida State and USC are both listed directly behind Ohio State at 15/2, respectively, to win next year’s national title. Michigan, Oklahoma and Penn State are all 15/1, respectively, followed by Auburn, Clemson, LSU and Louisville, who are 20/1, respectively. Georgia, meanwhile, is 22/1.
