OUR PREDICTION: Bowling Green has dominated this series in recent years but the Falcons have also been a significantly better team in season’s past. The only thing they do marginally well is throw the ball, as they rank 45th in the country in passing yards per game at 253.9. But their defense is a mess, ranking 122nd in total yards allowed per game (505.3), 115th in passing yards allowed (278.2), 111th in rushing yards allowed (227.1), and 128th in points allowed (45.1). Akron’s defense can be just as faulty but the Zips are at home for the final time in 2016 and should play more inspired than a Bowling Green team that is just looking to get through its final three games of a horrible season.
