CFB Week 2 Predictions: Idaho Vandals vs. Washington Huskies 9/10/16

Idaho vs. Washington Prediction

Following an impressive rout of Rutgers in Week 1, will the Washington Huskies cover again for bettors when they host Idaho at 5:00PM ET on Saturday?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Huskies are 36.5-point home favorites versus the Vandals and the over/under for Saturday’s game currently sits at 60 points. Neither the side nor the total has moved off the original number posted by oddsmakers.

Washington crushed Rutgers 48-13 as a 25-point home favorite last Saturday in Seattle. After missing all of 2015 with a knee injury, receiver John Ross caught five passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the Huskie victory, while also scoring on a 92-yard kickoff return in the process. Quarterback Jake Browning was also 18-of-27 passing for 287 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.

Idaho also won its home opener, beating Montana State 20-17 but failing to cover as a 14.5-point favorite. With the total sitting at 80 points, the under cashed easily for bettors after both teams combined for 30 points in the first half, but just seven the rest of the way. In fact, the Vandals were completely shutout in the second half, but managed to hold off Montana State to pull off the win.

OUR EARLY PICK: The Huskies are a legit threat to win the Pac-12 title contender this season behind Browning and running back Myles Gaskin, who only had 57 rushing yards in the team’s opener. With Idaho struggling just to win at home versus FCS foe Montana State, Washington should roll this weekend assuming the Huskies don’t have a letdown. And with the way Chris Petersen’s team handled Rutgers last week, they shouldn’t.
