Zaire not happy with ND’s QB competition
After getting injured last season, Malik Zaire isn’t too happy that he has to once again compete for the Notre Dame starting QB job.
Zaire entered 2015 as the starting QB after Everett Golson left for Florida State. He threw for 428 yards and four touchdowns and no interceptions, but he then suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the team’s second game. Now, fully healed, Zaire will have to compete for the job with his replacement, DeShone Kizer.
“You just really wonder what it’s going to take to finally convince people enough that I’m able to do the job,” Zaire told the Associated Press. “I don’t make the decision. I’m going to keep balling and do what I need to do.”
