Oregon vs. Stanford Prediction
Is Stanford laying too many points to Oregon tonight at 11:00PM ET, or will the Cardinal roll?
THE ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinal is a 10-point home favorite versus the Ducks, who opened as 12-point underdogs. The total, meanwhile, currently sits at 55.5 points after hitting the board at 57.5.
OREGON BETTING TRENDS: The Ducks have covered the spread in five of their last seven trips to Stanford. They’re also 20-6 against the spread in their last 26 games played on grass and 35-15-1 at the betting window in their last 51 games played in October. That said, they’re just 3-10 against the number in their last 13 conference games and 5-14-1 against the spread in their last 20 games overall.

STANFORD CARDINAL TRENDS: The Cardinal is 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games overall, is 1-5 against the number in their last six home games, and is 1-5-1 at the betting window in their last seven games versus an opponent with a winning record. They’re also 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five games following a straight up win. As of this writing, 54% of the betting public is on the Cardinal.
WHO COVERS: Without Justin Herbert (broken collarbone), I don’t see Oregon hanging with Stanford for four quarters. The Cardinal has struggled defensively but that should change tonight, assuming Stanford slows down Oregon’s rushing attack. If they do that, Stanford’s offense, led by national rushing leader Bryce Love, should open the game up in the second half.
