An amended Title IX lawsuit was filed on Wednesday and in the lawsuit former Tennessee receiver Drae Bowles accused Jones of calling him a traitor for helping a woman that claimed she was sexually assaulted by two other Volunteer players. Jones is denying the claims and has been given support from Tennessee AD Dave Hart.

“I trust Butch Jones implicitly,” Hart said Thursday during a news conference. “I know who he is and what his work ethic is. I know how he has represented this university.”

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Tennessee is currently listed with 14/1 odds to win the national championship next season. The Volunteers have the fifth-shortest odds to win the title next season.

On Tuesday, all Tennessee athletics coaches held a joint press conference and Jones said that the allegations against the University were being used by other programs to hurt recruiting. According to ESPN’s recruiting database, the Vols had the 14th-best class of the 2016 recruiting period. Tennessee is coming off a 9-4 record in 2015 with a 5-3 SEC mark. The Vols won their last six games of the season and all four losses came by 7 points or less.
