College Football Predictions: Colorado vs. Washington State 10/21/17

Colorado vs. Washington St. Pick

Can No. 15 Washington State bounce back when the Cougars play host to Colorado this tonight at 10:45PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Washington State is favored at home, as the Cougars are getting odds of -10 points against Colorado. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 52.5 points. The home team has won the last two meetings in this series and the winning team has covered the spread in six straight. The public is currently putting 76 percent of the wagers on Washington State at home. Tonight’s game takes place from Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington and will air live on ESPN.

Washington State is coming off a 37-3 loss at Cal last week. The Cougars are 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Pac-12 while going 4-3 against the spread. Washington State has been typically good on offense, averaging 34.4 points and 455 yards per game this year. However, last week the Cougars committed seven turnovers. Luke Falk has thrown for 2,286 yards and 19 touchdowns with seven interceptions while Tavares Martin Jr. has 37 receptions for 502 yards and seven scores. Jamal Morrow is the leading rusher with 339 yards and two scores. The Washington State defense is allowing just 21.1 points and 288.3 yards per game.

Colorado is coming off a 36-33 win at Oregon State last week to move to 4-3 on the season. The Buffaloes are 1-3 in conference play and 2-5 against the spread. Colorado has a defense that is allowing just 24.1 points and 424.3 yards per contest. On offense, Colorado is putting up 29.4 points and 432.1 yards per contest. Phillip Lindsay is leading the team with 995 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns while Steven Montez has thrown for 1,691 yards and 12 touchdowns. Bryce Bobo has 40 receptions for 432 yards and five touchdowns.

Bet on Colorado vs. Washington State

Washington State should be eager to wipe out last week’s performance by returning home. The Cougars turned the ball over a crazy amount last week, which kept the offense from developing any flow. The team will be much more mindful of its ball security tonight. Colorado doesn’t have an offense that can keep pace with the Cougars, especially against a pretty good Washington State defense. I think Washington State rolls tonight.
