According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Michigan is the clear favorite to win this game, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -24.5 points against Rutgers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 51 points. These two met last year with Rutgers picking up a 26-24 win at home, but Michigan covered the 3-point spread.

Michigan is 6-2 on the season, 3-1 in the Big Ten, 4-4 against the spread and 5-3 with the under. The Wolverines are coming off a 29-26 win at Minnesota where it made a goal line stop as time expired. Michigan currently ranks second nationally in scoring defense (11.4 ppg) and yards allowed (241.9 ypg). The offense is averaging 28.6 points and 358.6 yards per contest. Michigan has some injury issues as Jake Rudock, De’Veon Smith and Jake Butt are all questionable. Rudock has thrown for 1,443 yards and six touchdowns, but Wilton Speight will fill in if his rib injury keeps him from playing. Butt has 316 receiving yards while Smith has 451 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Rutgers is 3-5 overall, 1-4 in the Big Ten, 3-5 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total. The Knights are coming off a 48-10 loss at Wisconsin last week for their second straight loss. Rutgers is averaging just 27.9 points and 393.9 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 34 points and 454.8 yards per game. Chris Laviano has thrown for 1,536 yards and 12 touchdowns to lead the offense while Josh Hicks and Robert Martin have combined for over 1,000 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Leonte Carroo has added 24 receptions for 527 yards and nine touchdowns.
