The Warhawks received a challenge in the first half from FCS foe Southern last Saturday before eventually pulling away in the second half. UL-Monroe won 38-21 and covered as a 14-point home favorite as Garrett Smith completed 20-of-33 passes for 208 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Smith also rushed 14 times for 150 yards and an additional score in the win.

The Sooners were one of the top 5 teams to fall last Saturday (LSU was the other), as Oklahoma lost 33-23 to Houston as a 13-point favorite. Quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 24-of-33 passes for 323 yards with two touchdowns and no picks, while Joe Mixon rushed six times for 40 yards and an addition score in the defeat. OUR PICK: There’s always a possibility that the Sooners could suffer a hangover from their lost to Houston last week but the more-likely scenario is that Bob Stoops’ team is locked in tonight. The over is 8-1 in the Sooners’ last nine games following a straight-up loss and is 20-7 in their last 27 games coming off an ATS loss. Smith makes the Warhawks somewhat dangerous on offense and UL-Monroe should contribute enough points to help push the total over.
