UNLV vs. UCLA Pick

Will UNLV and UCLA have trouble combining to score enough points to push the total over tonight at 8:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins are 25.5-point home favorites versus the Rebels while the over/under is currently sitting at 57.5 points. UCLA opened as a 27-point favorite but the line was bet down nearly two full points, while the total has gone from 62.5 down to 57.5.

The Rebels hung 63 points on FCS opponent Jackson State last week, winning 63-13 as a 40-point home favorite. Johnny Stanton was efficent, throwing for 217 yards and three touchdowns on just 10-of-12 passing, while Charles Williams rushed 12 times for 96 yards and a score. (Stanton also added 35 yards on four carries.)

The Bruins fell to Texas A&M 31-24 last Saturday in overtime, as their fourth-quarter comeback bid fell short. Heisman candidate Josh Rosen was 26-of-46 for 343 yards and one touchdown, but he also threw three interceptions as well. Soso Jamabo also rushed 23 times for 91 yards in the loss. (See why we think UCLA will cover tonight against UNLV.)

OUR PICK: These two teams aren’t going to combine for enough points tonight to push the total over. The under is 5-1 in the Bruins’ last six home games and is 35-16-1 in their last 52 games coming off a loss. The under is also 8-2 in the Rebels’ last 10 games following a win of more than 20 points and is 6-0 in their last six games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 2 PICK: UNLV/USC UNDER 57.5
