Bet on South Florida vs. Temple
South Florida is coming off a 42-27 win over Connecticut last week to move to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the AAC. The Bulls are also 5-2 against the spread. USF has an offense that has been tough for opponents to stop thus far. The Bulls are posting 44.1 points and 506.4 yards per game this season, with 268.4 yards coming on the ground. The combo of QB Quinton Flowers and Marlon Mack have combined for 1,247 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns this season while Flowers also has 1,535 passing yards and 13 scores. Defensively, the Bulls could be better, giving up 25.9 points and 436.1 yards allowed per game. They are allowing 190.1 rushing yards per contest this season.
Temple is coming off a 26-25 win at Central Florida last week to move to 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in the AAC. The Owls are 6-1 against the spread this season, covering the spread in six straight games. The Owls come in with a really solid defense, allowing just 23 points and 316.6 yards per game this season. Their weakness is against the run, however, allowing 150 yards per game. On offense, Temple is averaging just 378 yards per game, but still putting up 32 points per game. Phillip Walker is leading the unit with 1,582 yards passing and 10 touchdowns, but he also has 10 interceptions. Ryquell Armstead has run for 403 yards while Jahad Thomas has 357 yards. The two each have seven rushing touchdowns as well.

Oddsmakers expect this to be a close game, probably because of the Temple defense. The Owls have been able to limit most of their opponents, but they face probably the best offense they have taken on all season. USF has scored at least 35 points in every game, including against the likes of Florida State and Syracuse. I think the Bulls should continue to run the ball very well against the Owls and I don’t think Temple will be able to match scores with USF.
