Broncos need bounce-back effort at home
Boise State holds a 12-0 all-time record against San Jose State. But will Bryan Harsin’s group be able to recover after seeing its hopes for an undefeated season come crashing down?
The Broncos, fresh off a 30-28 loss at the hands of Wyoming, certainly can’t afford to trudge into tonight’s tilt vs. the Spartans. Online sports book BetDSI opened the hosts as 29.5-point favorites over Ron Caragher’s bunch. The over/under is 57.5.
Last weekend, the Cowboys effectively extinguished Boise State’s Cotton Bowl aspirations. Brett Rypien fumbled a ball out of the end zone for a safety with 1:25 remaining to account for the final score. The sophomore also tossed a costly interception, as the Broncos continued a self-destructive pattern on offense. They’ve now committed 14 turnovers and forced only four.
San Jose State doesn’t necessarily bring the most opportunistic crew into Albertsons Stadum. Nonetheless, the school understands how to take care of the pigskin. Signal-caller Kenny Potter and the Spartans have gone 12 quarters without throwing a pick.

Still, everyone recognizes the most dangerous player on the blue turf this evening. Jeremy McNichols has scored at least once in 20 straight contests. He’ll surely reach that number against a San Jose State defense that allows 35.1 points per tilt. Bank on the home squad in a blowout.
