OUR PREDICTION: Patrick Mahomes has averaged 473.3 passing yards per game this season, which is on pace to set the FBS record held by Houston’s David Klingler, who averaged 467.3 yards in 1990. Texas Tech has passed on 71 percent of its plays this season, which is the highest rate in the FBS. TCU hasn’t boasted its usual excellent defense under Gary Patterson and has been torched through the air this season, allowing 267.1 passing yards per game, which ranks 108th in the nation. Mahomes and the Red Raiders can definitely keep pace in this one.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 9 PICK: TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS +9.5
