According to oddsmakers at GTBets, UCLA is the favorite in this game, as the Bruins are getting odds of -19.5 points against Virginia. The over/under total for the game has been set at 53 points. These two met last season with UCLA squeaking out a 28-20 road win at Virginia, but the Cavaliers covered a 10-point spread.

UCLA is coming off back-to-back 10-3 seasons with 6-3 marks in the Pac-12 each year. The Bruins were just 5-8 against the spread in 2014 while hitting the under in 8 of 13 lined games. Jim Mora is entering his fourth seasons with UCLA. He has put together an impressive 29-11 record in those three years but is still seeking a conference title. UCLA is starting a true freshman at QB as Josh Rosen gets the start. He was one of the top-ranked quarterback recruits for 2015 freshmen. UCLA comes into Saturday’s game 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 games in September.

Virginia is coming off a 5-7 record in 2014 with a 3-5 mark in the ACC. The Cavaliers also hit the under 8 times in the 2014 season while going 7-4-1 against the spread. Virginia enters its sixth season under coach Mike London, who is just 23-28 in his five years with the teams. Virginia has failed to reach a bowl in its last three seasons. The team is putting its faith in Matt Johns at quarterback. He threw for 1,109 yards and eight touchdowns a year ago. UVA has covered the spread in their last 4 non-conference games.
