Big Ten Championship Odds to Win
Are the Ohio State Buckeyes clear favorites to win the Big Ten Championship this upcoming college football season?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Buckeyes have the best odds of any team in the conference to win the Big Ten next season. At 8/5, Ohio State bests the odds of Michigan (11/5), Penn State (4/1), Wisconsin (5/1), and the rest of the field to once again win the conference crown.

Urban Meyer returns to Columbus for his sixth season and compiling a 61-6 record over the past five years. He made a few changes to his coaching staff, including hiring former Indiana coach Kevin Wilson as offensive coordinator and Ryan Day as quarterback coach. The offense will once again center on quarterback J.T. Barrett, who returns for his senior season.

Michigan, meanwhile, will be forced to replace a slew of players on a defense that was one of the best in the country last season. Gone are linebacker/safety Jabrill Peppers, defensive ends Taco Charlton and Chris Wormley, defensive backs Jourdan Lewis, Delano Hill and Jeremy Clark, as well as linebacker Ben Gedeon and defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow. Offensive players Amara Darboh, Jehu Chesson and Jake Butt are also headed to the NFL after being drafted in late April.
Continuing with the odds, Nebraska is 15/1 to win the Big Ten title next season, followed by Michigan State at 18/1. Northwestern is 22/1, Iowa is 30/1, and Minnesota is 35/1. Indiana, meanwhile, is 60/1.
From there, the odds drop off significantly. Illinois, Purdue and Maryland are 150/1 long shots, respectively to win the Big Ten crown in 2017, followed by Rutgers, who has the longest odds at 250/1.
