Louisville vs. Georgia Tech Spread Pick
The Louisville Cardinals blew a late lead to the Florida State Seminoles in a devastating loss last week at home. The Cardinals find themselves as a home dog again on Friday night when they host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. ET. Will Louisville prevail this time around?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Yellow Jackets are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Cardinals. The total, meanwhile, sits at 57.5 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Yellow Jackets.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Georgia Tech redshirt freshman QB Tobias Oliver ran seven times for 115 yards and two scores in a 63-17 rout of Bowling Green on Saturday. Oliver also threw one pass that fell incomplete. The redshirt freshman quarterback has been impressive on the ground when he’s played, and the 6-foot-2, 192-pound signal-caller showed off his impressive wheels again on Saturday. The biggest play was a 62-yard touchdown with the game well in hand, but it was a nice reminder that Oliver has a bright future in this offense. He should see time again next Saturday against Louisville.
Louisville Cardinals
Louisville senior WR Jaylen Smith caught five passes for 100 yards in Saturday’s 28-24 loss to Florida State. Smith (6’4/223) should have had a sharper game, but Jawon Pass sailed a few on him to leave the senior stranded at 100 yards even on the afternoon. He had not even topped 40 yards receiving prior to Saturday’s contest. Louisville’s passing game this season has been uneven, to be kind. Smith will try to make it two straight 100-yard games when the Cardinals take on Georgia Tech next weekend.
Betting Trends
Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six conference games and have failed to cover in six of their last seven games overall.
Louisville
The Cardinals are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall and 3-9 at the betting window in their last 12 home games.
Prediction
The Cardinals did blow that lead last week to the Seminoles but they held a 10-point lead entering the fourth quarter of a game in which they were a 5.5-point home underdog. Louisville is coming off a rough September but don’t overlook the fact that the Cardinals did show some improvement each week. Let’s also not overlook the fact that Georgia Tech is also 2-3, with wins over Alcorn State and Bowling Green. Why the Yellow Jackets are getting so much respect here, I’m not sure.
