MISSISSIPPI STATE KEY TRENDS: The Bulldogs are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five conference games and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games coming off a loss. They’re also 1-8 against the spread in their last nine road games versus a team with a losing home record and have failed to cover in five of their last seven games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous contest.

OLE MISS KEY TRENDS: The Rebels are also just 1-4 at the betting window in their last five conference games and have failed to cover in five of their last six games overall. They’re also just 8-20 against the spread in their last 28 games in November and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games following a straight up loss of more than 20 points.

OUR PREDICTION: The Bulldogs have not fared well at the betting window in this series but with Nick Fitzgerald under center, they’ll at least have a shot to keep things close. He leads the team in touchdowns with 12, in rushing with 985 yards, and in passing at 2,172 yards. He and the Mississippi State offense should take advantage of an Ole Miss defense that has not stopped the run all season, allowing 227.3 rushing yards per game in 2016. The Rebels are also allowing 32.1 points per game, so grab the points with the dog.
