No. 14 Oklahoma looks to avoid a major upset on Saturday when it hits the road to face Kansas at 3:30PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Oklahoma is the overwhelming favorite in this game, as the Sooners are getting odds of -38.5 points against Kansas on Saturday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 64 points. Oklahoma has won its last 10 meetings with Kansas, but the Jayhawks are 3-3 against the spread in the last six games of this series.
Oklahoma is 6-1 on the season, 3-1 in the Big 12, 5-2 against the spread and 4-3 with the over. The Sooners are coming off a 63-27 win over Texas Tech at home last week for their second straight win since the loss to Texas. Oklahoma is averaging 43.3 points and 507.1 yards per game this year, making it one of the top offenses in the country. Defensively, OU is allowing 20 points and 336.4 yards per game, both of which rank 30th nationally. Baker Mayfield has thrown for 2,087 yards and 21 touchdowns to lead the offense while Samaje Perine is the leading rusher with 621 yards and seven touchdowns. Sterling Shepard has caught 32 passes for 549 yards and five scores.
Kansas is 0-7 overall, 0-4 in the Big 12, 2-5 against the spread and 4-3 with the under. The Jayhawks are coming off a 58-10 loss to Oklahoma State. They have had all but one loss this year come by double digits. Kansas is averaging just 17.9 points and 355.4 yards per game on offense while the defense is getting gashed for 45 points and 563.1 yards per game. The offense is led by Tre’ Parmalee, who has 26 catches for 441 yards and two touchdowns while Ke’aun Kinner has 384 rushing yards with five touchdowns. Ryan Willis has emerged as Kansas’ starting QB. He has 779 yards passing with four touchdowns as a freshman.
