According to oddsmakers at RealBets, LSU is favored in this bowl game, as the Tigers are getting odds of -7 points against Texas Tech. The over/under total for the game has been set at 73.5 points. These two meet today at 9PM ET on ESPN. The game is being played from NRG Stadium in Houston, TX.

Fournette is third in the nation in rushing, as he put up 1,741 yards and 18 touchdowns on 271 carries for LSU (8-3, 5-6 ATS). He is the main reason that LSU averages more in rushing (245.9 ypg) than it does in passing (173.1 ypg). Today, Fournette and LSU are up against Texas Tech (7-5, 7-4-1 ATS), which has one of the worst defenses in the country. Tech ranks 126th nationally against the run, allowing 271.8 yards per game.

On paper, this seems like a great matchup for Fournette, and the oddsmakers see it that way as well. They have listed his over/under for rushing yards today at 190.5 yards. The 6-1, 230-pound sophomore has already passed 200 yards in three different games, including a season-high 244 yards against Syracuse. He ended the season somewhat quiet by his standards, rushing for under 150 yards in three of his last four games. Despite that, he should be nice and fresh coming into this game and is facing a defense that gives up yards in large chunks.
