Ohio State opened the season with a 42-0 win over Akron. The Buckeyes racked up 517 yards of offense while holding Akron to just 90 total yards, including just 55 passing yards. Quarterback Joe Bauserman threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for a touchdown.
Toledo opened the season with a 58-22 win over New Hampshire last week. The Rockets totaled up 591 yards of offense while giving up 332 yards on defense. Toledo had 287 rushing yards in the win, with Adonis Thomas leading the way with 115 yards rushing on just nine carries. He also had one touchdown. The Rockets did allowed 152 rushing yards on defense to New Hampshire.
In terms of Injuries, Ohio State is still dealing with the suspensions of four players including running back Dan Herron and receiver DeVier Posey. Toledo safety Mark Singer will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
