Redskins vs. Giants Odds
The third week of the NFL season gets underway tonight when the New York Giants host the Washington Redskins at 8:25PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, New York is the slight favorite in this game, as the Giants are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Redskins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 44 points. The Giants have won and covered the spread in four straight meetings with the Redskins and the two have hit the under in six of their last seven encounters.
Washington is 1-1 on the season, 1-1 against the spread and 2-0 with the under. The Redskins started the year with a 17-10 loss to Miami at home and then suffered a 24-10 win at home against the Rams. The Skins are holding opponents to just 258.5 yards per game on defense while the offense is posting 371 yards per game on offense. Kirk Cousins has thrown for 399 yards and two touchdowns in two games while Matt Jones broke out last week by rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns last week.
New York is 0-2 on the season, 1-1 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Giants lost 27-26 to the Cowboys to start the year and then lost 24-20 last week at home to the Falcons. New York has given up the winning score late in the fourth quarter of both games. Currently New York is allowing 427.5 yards per game while posting just 340.5 yards per game on offense. Eli Manning has thrown for 485 yards and two scores this season while Odell Beckham Jr. has 12 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown. The issue for New York is the run game, as Rashad Jennings is the leading rusher with just 64 yards on 22 carries.
