Eagles vs. Jets Odds
The records were probably expected to be flipped for both teams a few weeks ago, but the unbeaten New York Jets will host the winless Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 1PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Jets are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Eagles. The over/under total for the game has been set at 46 points. The Eagles have won their last six meetings with the Jets, covering the spread in three straight encounters.
The Jets are 2-0 on the season, 2-0 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Jets opened the year with a 31-10 win over Cleveland at home and then went on the road to beat the Colts 20-7 on the road last Monday night. New York is only averaging 339 yards per game on offense, but the defense is holding opponents to the same while creating 10 turnovers in two games. Ryan Fitzpatrick has threw for 423 yards and four touchdowns to lead the offense while Calvin Pryor is leading the defense with 15 tackles, one interception and a forced fumble.
The Eagles are 0-2 on the year, 0-2 against the spread and 2-0 with the under. Philly has been a mess so far, losing in Atlanta 26-24 to start the year and then falling to the Cowboys at home, 20-10. Philly is supposed to have an explosive offense, but the Eagles are averaging just 315 total yards thus far and just 35 rushing yards per game. Meanwhile, the defense is giving up 390 yards per game. DeMarco Murray has just 11 rushing yards on 21 carries in two games and now he has a hamstring injury that he suffered in practice. Sam Bradford has thrown for 560 yards and two touchdowns but also has four interceptions.
