NFL Week 1 Opening Odds
Now that the 2016 NFL schedule has been released, the point spreads and totals for Week 1 of the season have been released by oddsmakers.
According to SportsInsights.com via Westgate sportsbook in Las Vegas, the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos opened as 3-point home favorites versus the Panthers on the opening night of the NFL season, which will occur on Thursday, September 8. The over/under total, meanwhile, opened at 43.5 points.

On the first Sunday of the year, the Falcons are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Bucs while the Vikings are a 3-point road favorite over the Titans, who on Thursday morning traded the No. 1 overall pick to the Rams in this month’s upcoming draft. Also on that Sunday, the Eagles are a 7.5-point home favorite versus the visiting Browns, as are the Chiefs (-7.5) versus the Chargers.

The Bengals are also a pick’em versus the Jets while the Saints are a 1.5-point home favorite versus the rising Raiders. The Ravens, meanwhile, are a 3-point home favorite versus the Bills and the Bears are a 4.5-point underdog at the Texans.
As customary for Week 1 in the NFL now, there will be two Monday Night Football games played during the opening week of the season. Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers opened as 2.5-point road favorites versus the Ravens in the first game of the MNF double-header, while the now Los Angeles Rams are 2.5-point road favorites at division rival the 49ers. Either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz could be making their debuts for the new-look Rams in the same backfield as Todd Gurley.
