NFL Wildcard Weekend Opening Odds
The point spreads and totals are out for Wildcard Weekend in the NFL and no surprise, every home team is favored in the four matchups.
Raiders at Texans, Saturday, January 7, 4:35PM ET
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Texans are a 3-point home favorite versus the Raiders while the over/under currently sits at 37.5 points. As of this writing, neither the total nor the side have moved off the original number. This will be a rematch of a game played earlier this season in Mexico, a game in which the Raiders won 27-20 as a 6.5-point favorite. The Texans have a good chance at revenge, however, as Oakland is dealing with major issues at the quarterback position. Derek Carr is out for the season with a broken fibula and his backup, Matt McGloin, suffered a shoulder injury in the team’s loss to the Broncos in Week 17 and now his status is uncertain. If McGloin can’t play, rookie Connor Cook will make his career start in a NFL playoff game. Houston is also dealing with some injury concern after Tom Savage suffered a concussion in the Texans’ loss to the Titans on Sunday.

Lions at Seahawks, 8:15PM ET, Saturday, January 7
The Seahawks opened as a 7.5-point home favorite over the Lions and that’s where the line currently sits. As for the total, the number hit the board at 43 and that too is where that number currently sits. Detroit limped into the playoffs, losing three straight games to close out its regular season, including a 31-24 defeat against the Packers on Sunday night to hand the NFC North to Green Bay. The Lions got into the playoffs by virtue of the Giants’ win over the Redskins earlier in the day. As for the Seahawks, they lost two of their last four games and had to hang on to beat the two-win 49ers 25-23 in Santa Clara in Week 17. They have offensive line issues and safety Earl Thomas is out for the remainder of the season after breaking his leg three weeks ago.
Dolphins at Steelers, 1:05PM ET, Sunday, January 8
This is another rematch, as the Dolphins thumped the Steelers earlier this season in Miami, a game in which Ben Roethlisberger suffered a knee injury and wound up missing several weeks following the loss. This is the only point spread this weekend that is in the double-digits, as Pittsburgh opened as an 8.5-point favorite but is now -10. Miami will once again start Matt Moore, who struggled against the Patriots in Week 17. The total for Sunday’s game is sitting at 47.5 points.

Giants at Packers, 4:40PM ET, Sunday, January 8
This too will be a rematch of a regular season game, as the Packers beat the Giants 23-16at Lambeau Field in Week 5. This will also be a rematch of the 2011 playoffs when the Giants upset the Packers 37-20, which was also in Green Bay. New York eventually went on to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI that year. The Giants (11-5) actually finished the season with a better record than the Packers (10-6) but will start on the road due to the Cowboys clinching the No. 1 seed and the NFC North. Green Bay opened as a 4.5-point favorite over New York for Sunday’s game but the line was bet down to 3.5, while the total opened at 45 before dropping to 44.5. The Giants are a perfect 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games against the Packers and are 3-1-1 at the betting window in their last five games in Green Bay.
