The Bengals were a perfect 3-0 against the spread in the three games that they were an underdog, losing by an average margin of only 0.7 points in those three contests.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, Cincinnati is a 2.5-point home underdog versus the Steelers at 8:15PM ET on Saturday night. It will be the first time this season that the Bengals will be a home dog this season, although the team is 22-15 against the spread as a home dog since 2003 (the first year Marvin Lewis took over as head coach).
As for the Vikings, they’ve been an underdog a total of seven times this season and covered in all but one of those games. What’s most impressive about Minnesota’s 6-1 ATS record as a dog is how the team won outright in four of those seven contests.
Of course the one time the Vikings failed to cover as an underdog this season came on December 6 when they were blown out 38-7 by the Seahawks as a 2.5-point home dog. Minnesota will once again find itself as a home dog this Sunday when it hosts Seattle at 1:05PM ET. The Seahawks are currently 5.5-point favorites.
