Cardinals vs. Bears Odds
The Arizona Cardinals look for a 2-0 start to the season on Sunday when they hit the road to face the Chicago Bears at 1PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Arizona is the slight favorite on the road, as the Cardinals are getting odds of -2 points against the Bears. The over/under total for the game has been set at 44.5 points. Chicago has won four of its last five against Arizona, but the Cardinals have covered the spread in four of the last six between these two. The pair have hit the over in their last three encounters.
Arizona opened up the season at home and picked up a 31-19 win over the Saints, covering a 2-point spread in the process while going over a 48.5-point total. The Cardinals allowed 408 yards of offense to the Saints, but posted 427 yards of their own. Carson Palmer looked strong in his return from injury, throwing for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Larry Fitzgerald also had a nice game, catching six passes for 87 yards. Andre Ellington added 69 rushing yards with a touchdown, but he suffered a PCL injury that will put him on the shelf for a few weeks.
The Bears began the John Fox era of the franchise with a 31-23 loss at home to the Packers. Chicago failed to cover a 6-point spread in the process, but did go over the 48.5-point total. The Bears actually had a 402-322 edge in total offense, but it didn’t translate into a victory. Matt Forte had one of his best games in sometime, rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown while catching five passes for 25 yards. Jay Cutler was just 18 of 36 passing in the loss for 225 yards with one touchdown and one interceptions.
