Eagles vs. Patriots: James White Super Bowl Prop Bets Predictions 1/31/18

James White Prop Predictions

How many rushing and receiving yards will Patriots running back James White record in Super Bowl LII on Sunday?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Patriots are currently 4.5-point favorites to knock off the Eagles in Super Bowl LII. New England opened as a 6-point favorite and is down to -4 at some online sportsbooks. The total, meanwhile, now sits at 48 points after hitting the board at 47.5.

As of Wednesday morning, 56% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Eagles to cover the point spread. Bettors also see the game being relatively high-scoring, as 62% of betting tickets is on the over.

Bet Patriots vs. Eagles Super Bowl LII

James White Total Rushing Yards: Over 10.5

If I’m only playing one James White-centered prop bet, it’s this one. Granted, White only rushed three times for four yards against the Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game and finished with just 11 yards on four carries versus the Titans but he’s projected to rush for over 16 yards on Super Bowl Sunday by several fantasy experts. If that’s the case, then the 10.5-yard mark is low and the over should cash.

James White Longest Rush from Scrimmage: Over 5.5

In his final two games of the regular season, White didn’t even receive a carry. Thus, if you don’t think he’s going to be involved on Sunday, then take the under on all of his rushing prop bets. I happen to think the Patriots will use all of their weapons against this stout Philly defense and White will play a small, but significant role. The last five times he’s received at least three carries, White has had a long of at least five yards in four of those five games.

James White Total Rushing Attempts: Over 3.5

White received four carries against the Titans in the Divisional Round and three versus the Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game so this number is dead on. That said, he’s projected to carry the ball at least four times and gain at least 16 yards, so I’m going with the over here, too.

James White Total Receptions: Over 3.5

White has caught at least two passes in his last five games. He has caught at least three passes in four of his last five games. The Patriots will use him in the passing game and given how stout Philly’s pass rush is, they should implement White as a receiver plenty of times on screens throughout the game.

James White Total Receiving Yards: Over 26.5

I’m all in on White in this game. He only had three catches for 22 yards against the Jaguars but went for 29 yards on four catches versus the Titans. I believe White’s usage will resemble the Divisional Round more than the AFC Championship Game.
