Falcons vs. Seahawks Pick
The red-hot Falcons will travel to Seattle on Sunday to take on the well-rested Seahawks at 4:25PM ET. Will the matchup be a defensive struggle?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the over/under currently sits at 45.5 points after opening at that same number. The Seahawks, meanwhile, have gone back-and-forth between being a 6-point favorite and a 6.5-point favorite. Currently Seattle is listed at -6.5.
The Falcons have won four straight and have covered four straight as well. Matt Ryan’s 1,740 passing yards are the most in Falcons’ history through five games. Julio Jones is also third in the NFL in receiving with 517 yards, through his production has been inconsistent with duds posted against the Saints and Broncos, respectively. That said, his 300 yards against the Panthers were a franchise record.
Russell Wilson is completing 82.1 percent of his passes between the numbers, which is the second-best in the NFL. On passes outside the numbers, he completes 55.4 percent, which ranks 22nd. He’s 20-of-25 targetting Doug Baldwin this season and tight end Jimmy Graham is coming off back-to-back 100-yard receiving games for the first time since Weeks 2-5 of 2013.

OUR PICK: The Seahawks currently lead the NFL in total defense, which was the case in 2013 and 2014 when Falcons head coach Dan Quinn was their defensive coordinator. Seattle has been especially dominant covering passes between the numbers, limiting opponents to just 86.3 passing yards per game between the hashes, which ranks first. Atlanta will offer Seattle its stiffest test, but the Seahawks will hold their own. The under is 12-4-1 in the Falcons’ last 17 road games and is 7-3 in the Seahawks’ last 10 games overall.
