Five Week 7 Lines Already on the Move
With Week 6 now in the books, let’s take a look ahead to Week 7 in the NFL. Here are five point spreads already on the move in Week 7.
Broncos at Chargers, 4:25PM ET, Sunday
This is one of the only point spreads that has already jumped the fence in Week 6. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Chargers are now 1.5-point home favorites versus the Broncos, who opened as 2.5-point favorites at the majority of online sports books. The Broncos are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games versus the Chargers and the road team is 10-3-2 against the number in the last 15 meetings between these two teams.
Cowboys at 49ers, 4:05PM ET, Sunday
The winless 49ers have been competitive this season, so much so that Kyle Shanahan’s 0-6 team is 4-2 against the spread in 2017. But oddsmakers have already moved the line between Dallas and San Francisco from Cowboys -4 to Cowboys -6. The favorite is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams. As of this writing, 70% of public bettors are backing Dallas and laying the points, which could have something to do with the line movement.
Seahawks at Giants, 4:25PM ET, Sunday
Are bettors actually backing the Giants now that they’ve ended their losing skid? It would appear so, as this line dropped from Seahawks -7.5 down to Seattle -5.5. That’s a big move in a short period of time. The Seahawks are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five road games versus the Giants while the favorite is 5-1 against the number in the last six meetings between these two teams.
Saints at Packers, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
The Saints opened as a 4.5-point road favorite versus the Packers but the line has already jumped to 6 at the majority of sports books. Aaron Rodgers is out for the season with a broken collarbone and Brett Hundley is starting in his place. Apparently it wasn’t enough for New Orleans to be a road favorite, but it has to be nearly a touchdown-sized road favorite as bettors are loading up on the Saints. New Orleans is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams.
Bengals at Steelers, 4:25PM ET, Sunday
The Steelers opened as 4-point home favorites for this AFC North Division matchup but the Bengals are now 5.5-point underdogs as the line has climbed. Cincinnati is 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games in Pittsburgh and 7-19-2 against the number in its last 28 games overall versus the Steelers.
