Ryan should get close to that number but he averaged 23.31 pass completions per game in the regular seasons so we believe he’ll fall short of the 26.5 number tonight. The Patriots’ defense will likely concentrate on Julio Jones and limit the damage that Ryan creates in the passing game.
Matt Ryan OVER 38.5 Pass Attempts
If the Falcons fall behind, then Ryan will need to put the ball in the air plenty. If the game turns into a blowout, then he may wind up finishing with 40-plus passing attempts. We don’t think the game will get away from the Falcons, but the Patriots have an excellent run defense and that too could force Ryan and the Falcons to put the ball in the air plenty tonight.
