Alshon Jeffery TD Prop Odds
How many touchdown passes and receiving yards will Alshon Jeffery rack up in 2017? Oddsmakers have released projections for the newest Eagle.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Jeffery’s over/under has been set at 6.5 for the number of touchdowns that he’ll produced in the 2017 NFL regular season. He also has an over/under of 950 for the number of yardage that he will rack up this coming year.
After spending the first five seasons of his pro career with the Chicago Bears, Jeffery signed a one-year “prove it” contract with the Eagles. That contract contains $4.5 million in incentives, although the deal is really for $9.5 million total. At only 27 years old, Jeffery has plenty of time to cash in on the free agent market next season, but he needs to stay healthy and out of trouble after playing only 21 games the last two seasons due to injuries and a suspension.
That said, there’s no question Jeffery has the talent. After catching only 24 passes for 367 yards with three touchdowns as a rookie with the Bears in 2012, Jeffery posted back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in 2013 and 2014. He caught a total of 17 touchdowns in those two seasons while securing 89 (2013) and 85 (2014) receptions, respectively.

The Eagles also added former Raven and 49er wideout Torrey Smith to their depleted receiving corps this offseason, so it’s unclear how many targets Jeffery will secure this upcoming season. That said, if Smith fills the role of a deep threat while Jeffery works the short-to-intermediate passing game, then there’s no question he could go over the 1,000-yard mark in his first year in Philly. The question will be if he’s motivated to produce.
