Steelers vs. Dolphins Pick
Will the Miami Dolphins be able to slow down the Pittsburgh Steelers offense enough to hit the under when they meet up on Sunday at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Steelers are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Dolphins. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 47 points. Pittsburgh has won five of the last six meetings with Miami and the two have hit the over in three straight encounters.
Pittsburgh is coming off a 31-13 win over the Jets last week to move to 4-1 on the season. Outside of the 34-3 loss at Philadelphia, the Steelers have looked really good this year and they are 3-2 with the under. Despite the 3-point performance a few weeks ago, Pittsburgh is still averaging 27.8 points and 401.2 yards per game. Ben Roethlisberger continues to throw the ball around at will, racking up 1,496 yards and 15 touchdowns while Le’Veon Bell has run for 210 yards in his two games since returning to action. Antonio Brown has added 37 receptions for 447 yards and five scores. Defensively, Pittsburgh has been strong against the run this year, holding opponents to just 77 yards per game on the ground. However, they are giving up 307.6 passing yards per contest.
Miami is coming off a 30-17 loss to the Titans last week to fall to 1-4 on the season. The Dolphins are 3-2 with the over in 2016, due largely to its defense. Miami is giving up 414.8 yards per game, which has led to an average of 23.8 points allowed per game. The Dolphins have really struggled against the run, giving up 150.8 yards per contest. On offense, Miami is only putting up 17.6 points and 326.8 yards per contest. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 1,272 yards and six touchdowns, but also has seven interceptions. The Miami run game has been a mess, putting up only 362 yards this season. The Dolphins hope this changes this week with Arian Foster expected to return from injury. He has missed the last three weeks with a groin strain.

Pittsburgh should be able to roll to another win this week, but can the Steelers do enough to get the over? I am sure the Pittsburgh offense will do its share, but I don’t have a lot of confidence that Miami can contribute enough points. I can see this week’s game being similar to last week’s 31-13 win for the Steelers over the Jets, which still wouldn’t hit the over.
