Will the Seahawks cover the field goal spread tonight when they host the Vikings at 10:00PM ET tonight?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Seahawks are now 3-point home favorites versus the Vikings after they opened as a 3.5-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 38.5 points and hasn’t moved off the opening number set by oddsmakers.

Bet Tonight’s Vikings Seahawks Game

The Vikings beat the Bengals 17-16 in their preseason opener. Starter Teddy Bridgewater completed six-of-seven passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, which came on a 49-yard pass to Charles Johnson in the second quarter. Adrian Peterson didn’t play in the team’s exhibition opener and is unlikely to see the field again tonight.

Ironically, the Seahawks beat the Chiefs by the same score in their opener that the Vikings beat the Bengals. Rookie Trevone Boykin completed 16-of-26 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown while starter Russell Wilson was 3-for-6 for just 34 yards and an interception. Christine Michael was the leading rusher for the Seahawks, rushing seven times for 44 yards.

OUR PICK: Seattle is an intriguing play for bettors because of Boykin, who also rushed three times for 21 yards in his NFL preseason debut last week. Many NFL preseason games come down to the ability of the backup quarterback and Boykin, after starring at TCU, is capable of turning heads when he replaces Wilson. With Seattle laying only a field goal tonight, take the Seahawks and lay the points.
