Ravens vs. Packers Pick
Will the Baltimore Ravens be able to go on the road and cover as a favorite when they face the Green Bay Packers today at 1PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Baltimore is favored on the road, as the Ravens are getting odds of -2 points against the Packers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 38 points. Green Bay has won four of its last five meetings with the Ravens and the Packers have covered the spread in four of those five games. The public betting in this one has the Ravens getting 54 percent of the wagers on the road. Sunday’s game takes place from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin and will air live on CBS.
Green Bay is coming off a 23-16 win at Chicago last week to snap a three-game losing streak. The Packers are now 5-4 on the season and 4-5 against the spread. The Pack have failed to cover in three of their last four games. Green Bay has hit the over in its last two games. On the season, Green Bay is averaging 22.7 points and 337.2 yards per game. Since the team lost Aaron Rodgers, the offense has struggled, averaging just 16.7 points over four games. Brett Hundley has thrown for 701 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions in place of Rodgers. Green Bay will be without their top two backs today as Aaron Jones is out with a MCL sprain and Ty Montgomery is dealing with a rib injury. Defensively, Green Bay is allowing 23 points and 368.7 yards per game. Nick Perry has seven sacks this year, but is also questionable to play with a foot injury.
The Ravens are coming off their bye week. They suffered a 23-20 loss at Tennessee prior to that to fall to 4-5 on the season. Baltimore is 4-4-1 against the spread this season, including 2-2-1 ATS on the road. The Ravens are holding opponents to 19 points and 326.4 yards per game. Offensively, Baltimore is putting up 21.1 points and 301.2 yards per game. Joe Flacco has thrown for 1,551 yards and eight touchdowns, but also has 10 interceptions. The team is hoping to get a boost in the backfield with Danny Woodhead expected to play after being on IR since Week 1. Alex Collins is the team’s leading rusher with 521 yards.
The Packers are coming off a nice win last week to get on track, however I think the momentum doesn’t last long. Green Bay is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games in November and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a losing team. The Baltimore defense should create a lot of problems for Hundley and his weakened backfield. I don’t think the Ravens will need many points to win today, and they should be able to find them.
