NFL Predictions: Will Cardinals cover as home dog vs. Rams? 12/3/17

Rams vs. Cardinals Prediction

Will the Arizona Cardinals once again cover as a home underdog when they host their NFC West rivals the Los Angeles Rams at 4:25 p.m. ET?

Who Oddsmakers Like: Los Angeles. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rams are 7-point road favorites to beat the Cardinals, who opened as 6-point home underdogs. As for the total, the number hit the board at 45.5 but was bet down to 44.

Who the Public Likes: Los Angeles. As of Sunday morning, 65% of betting tickets were on the Rams to cover the point spread.

Who the Trends Like: Los Angeles and the under. The road team has covered the spread in five of the last six meetings between these two teams. The under is also 9-4 in the last 13 meetings between these two team in Arizona and is 13-6 in the last 19 meetings overall.

Who We Like: Arizona. I don’t know why, but I expect the Cardinals to show up today. They were humiliated by this very Rams team in London earlier this season, a 33-0 loss that surely has stuck with Bruce Arians.

As a home underdog, the Cardinals are 18-10-1 against the spread. They’re also 13-5 against the number in their last 18 games played in December and are 5-1 at the betting window in their last six games played in Week 13.

On the other side, the Rams are just 4-11-1 against the spread in their last 16 conference games, are 1-5 against the number in their last six games versus divisional rivals, and are 0-4 against the spread in their last four games in December.
