NFL Predictions: Will the Bengals and Ravens hit the under? 12/29/17

Bengals vs. Ravens Total Pick

Will the Cincinnati Bengals continue to struggle on offense when they go on the road to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at 4:25PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Baltimore is favored at home in this game, as the Ravens are getting odds of -9.5 points against the Bengals. The over/under total for the game has been set at 40 points. The home team has won three of the last four meetings in this series and the two have hit the under in four straight games. The public betting in this game has 55 percent of the wagers on the Bengals on the road. Sunday’s game takes place from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland and will air live on CBS.

The Bengals snapped a three-game losing streak with a 26-17 over the Lions last week at home. Cincinnati is now 6-9 on the year. The Bengals have hit the under in three straight and are 9-6 with the over on the season. Cincinnati averages only 17.3 points and 292.3 yards per game on offense. Andy Dalton has thrown for 3,098 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, but has 12 interceptions and has been sacked 38 times. Joe Mixon is the leading rusher with only 530 yards and four scores while A.J. Green has 73 catches for 1,061 yards and eight scores. Defensively, Cincinnati allows 21.5 points and 358.8 yards per contest.

The Ravens can lock up a playoff spot with a win on Sunday. They sit at 9-6 on the season after winning five of their last six. They are 8-7 with the over this year, but have hit the under in two straight. Baltimore has been winning with defense, allowing just 18.1 points and 340.9 yards per game. The unit is somewhat banged up with Jimmy Smith now on IR with an Achilles injury. Terrell Suggs is leading the team with 11 sacks and 46 tackles. Offensively, Baltimore is putting up 24.5 points and 318 yards per game. Joe Flacco has thrown for only 2,938 yards and 16 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. Alex Collins is the leading rusher with 895 yards and five scores.

Bet on Bengals vs. Ravens

The Bengals were able to score some points on the Lions last week, but don’t expect that to continue against the Ravens on Sunday. Baltimore will be all-in for this game, especially against a division rival. I don’t think Baltimore is going to move the ball consistently either, as the Bengals are still a prideful team defensively. Look for this to be an ugly, defensive battle.
