Packers vs. 49ers Preseason Pick

With Aaron Rodgers stepping on the field, can he lead the Green Bay Packers to a road win over the San Francisco 49ers tonight at 10PM ET?

According to the oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the 49ers are the slight favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Packers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 46.5 points.

Bet on NFL Preseason Week 3

The Packers haven’t put their best on the field, yet they have beaten the Browns (17-11) and Raiders (20-12) thus far in the preseason. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t played yet, but will see some time tonight. The big thing for Green Bay in the preseason is getting Eddie Lacy on track. After a disappointing 2015 season, Lacy has looked good thus far and ran for 45 yards on 9 carries in last week’s win. Defensively, Green Bay held the Raiders to under 200 total yards last week, an impressive feat.

The 49ers are coming off a 31-24 win over the Broncos last week in the preseason thanks to four turnovers by Denver. San Francisco was able to really run the ball last week, putting up 184 yards on the ground on 36 carries. The quarterbacks were also 19 of 24 passing for 216 yards. Defensively, the 49ers did give up over 400 yards to a Broncos’ offense that is certainly not among the best in the NFL.

Green Bay has looked good even with their backups on the field. Things should continue to be solid with Rodgers making his return to action. The 49ers have done some good things as well, and are at home, but they have been turnover prone thus far. Look for Eddie Lacy to continue his strong preseason and held lead the Packers to a win on the road.
