Bears vs. Cowboys Odds
Sunday’s busy NFL schedule closes out tonight with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Chicago Bears at 8:30PM ET on NBC. Here is the latest look at the odds for this game.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Cowboys are favored at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Bears. The over/under total has been listed at 44 points. The Bears have won and covered the spread in three of the last four meetings with the Cowboys. These two have hit the over in five straight meetings.
The Bears fell to 0-2 last week overall and against the spread with a 29-14 loss at home to the Eagles on Monday night. Chicago has been a mess thus far in 2016, as the offense is averaging just 294 yards per game right now. While Jay Cutler hasn’t been great, the real issue is with the run game, which is averaging just 68.5 yards per game right now. The team misses Matt Forte, as Jeremy Langford has only 85 rushing yards on 28 attempts this season. Cutler comes into today with a sprained thumb, so if he is unable to go, Brian Hoyer will get the start. He was the starter for the Texans most of last season. Defensively, Chicago is giving up 26 points and 325 yards per game. Injuries are taking a toll for the Bears, especially on the back seven.

The Cowboys got their first win of the season last week by beating the Redskins 27-23 in Washington. Dallas is now 1-1 against the spread as well, covering in the win. Given Dallas has rookies at QB and RB, the fact the team is averaging 361 yards per game right now is a positive. The offense should continue to improve as Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott get more experience. Prescott has thrown for 519 yards without a TD or interception yet. Elliott has run for just 134 yards on 41 carries, but has found the end zone twice. Defensively, the Cowboys are giving up 383 yards per game right now, which needs to improve to help the young offense.
