Packers vs. Lions Odds
The NFC North title is up for grabs tonight when the Detroit Lions host the Green Bay Packers at 8:25PM ET.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Packers are favored on the road tonight, as they are getting odds of -3 points against the Lions. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 49.5 points. The Packers opened as a 3-point favorite as well. The spread reached a peak of 3.5 points during the week. The public is soundly with the Packers in this game, as they are getting 76 percent of the wagers.
The Packers were far from looking like a playoff team over a month ago when they sat at 4-6, but they have rattled off five straight wins to put themselves in position to win the NFC North. The Pack is 8-6-1 against the spread, going 4-1 ATS in this five-game win streak. They also are 9-6 with the over this season, largely due to their offense. Green Bay is averaging 26.7 points per game on offense thanks to Aaron Rodgers, who has thrown for 4,128 yards with 36 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jordy Nelson has had a great bounce-back season after suffering a knee injury in 2015. Nelson has 91 catches for 1,191 yards and 14 touchdowns. Defensively, the Packers are giving up 24.3 points and 379.7 yards per game. They have struggled against the pass, allowing 283.7 yards per game through the air.

Detroit was sitting pretty at 9-4 with a 2-game lead in the North, but the Lions are now 9-6 after back-to-back road losses to the Giants and Cowboys. Detroit is 8-7 against the spread after failing to cover in their last three. They are also 10-5 with the under this season due to an offense lacking in a lot of overall talent. Detroit averages 21.5 points per game, but the offense is all on the arm of Matthew Stafford. The Lions have one of the worst running games in the NFL at just 82.3 yards per game, so Stafford has had to do it all. He has thrown for 3,980 yards with 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions, but is dealing with an injury to the middle finger on his throwing hand, which has forced him to wear a glove. His accuracy has suffered somewhat in the last few games since the injury. Golden Tate has caught 85 passes for 1,000 yards and three scores to be his leading receiver. Defensively, Detroit is giving up 21.8 points and 358.9 yards per game. The team severely missed Darius Slay in last week’s loss to the Cowboys. Their top corner is listed as questionable for tonight’s game due to a hamstring injury.
